Near the end of the 2013 Formula One season, I put together a list of the pages of my galleries of Formula One drivers past and present in order of the number of views that they had that year. Sebastian Vettel was the top of the pile last year, both on the track and in the much, much less prestigious number of views on my blog. I thought it would be fun to have a look and see how the list looks for 2014. Of course,a few of the galleries were created later in the year than others, so Alex Rossi – who almost got his first F1 drive this year – Will Stevens, and Felipe Nasr, who makes his debut next year, are not likely to be at the top of the list.
So who is the most popular Formula One driver in 2014?
There is a very clear winner this year, and it was not quite who I thought. 2014 Caterham driver, who is moving to Sauber in 2015, is, at least in this list, far ahead of the competition. It is, though, as Jon Snow would say “just for fun”.
