I have put together a few galleries in the past of Formula One drivers, and it after seeing some of Jo‘s lovely Mark Webber pictures recently, I thought that it was time to add a page of photos of the ever popular Australian driver. Mark has remained a popular driver through his many years in the sport, and has attracted fans all over the world. From his impressive debut for Minardi – where he scored points in his first Grand Prix – and through spells at Jaguar and Williams, and to his Red Bull seat that he has occupied since 2007, he has been building his fan base around the world. In his first two years at Red Bull, Mark was teamed up with veteran British driver David Coulthard, before the young Toro Rosso driver, Sebastian Vettel, was promoted into the Red Bull team in 2009. The rest, as they say, is history, with Vettel finishing as runner up to Jenson Button in 2009, and winning the 2010, 2011 and 2012 World Drivers Championships. As Mark famously described his performance, “not bad for a number two driver”.
Mark has announced that 2013 will be his last year in the series, and is heading off to drive Porsches. He will be missed in Formula One.
