360 Motor Racing Club at Donington Park - The Musings of Mark Haggan

Today saw the 360 Motor Racing Club at Donington Park, so I went along to see some of the action. The main action was two three hour endurance sessions, the sort of races that are quite rare. Today saw the Endurance Racing Series three hour race, followed by the 360 Allcomers Series, the other three hour race. The club attracts a diverse collection of entrants, so there were plenty of cars on display on the track and in the pits throughout the event. Interestingly, there was a relay option, although I have to admit that I did not get to the bottom of how that worked, although there was some discussion about the workings of the method over the tannoy.

There was plenty of action in the pit lane as the teams worked to keep their cars on the track for the full three hours.

Xander was a fan of the Aerial Atoms, and was not impressed when I told him that he could not get in one of the cars that was stopped behind the pits later in the afternoon…

As well as the 360 Racing Club’s cars, the FIA Formula E Safety Cars were outside the Formula E buildings near the entrance, no doubt ready for the imminent pre season testing at Donington.
