With the BTCC making their way to Norfolk, it was time for the British Formula 4 Snetterton Weekend 2016 with the ever popular and exciting single seater series playing a key role as a support event. The weekend saw two new drivers to the series, Alexandra Marinescu and Alexandra Mohnhaupt joining the grid, seeing welcome returns for Richardson Racing and Falcon Motorsport.
Qualifying saw a more familiar face at the front of the gird with Sennan Fielding in dominant form, with Devlin DeFrancesco and James Pull joining Sennan at the front. The race started in dramatic fashion with Jamie Caroline ending up hitting the pit wall and bringing out the safety car. That had barely cleared when Max Fewtrell went off bring the safety car back out again and giving Sennan the chance to try another restart. Like the previous time, he was flawless and led the race from start to finish. He was joined on the podium by Devlin DeFrancesco and James Pull.
The second race was an exciting event, with no shortage of overtaking or drama, with Rafael Martins and Luis Leeds having a coming together. Eventually, Petru Fluorescu took the chequered flag ahead of James Pull and Devlin DeFrancesco.
Sunday’s race saw Sennan Fielding back on pole, and in another fantastic performance led the race from start to finish. Second and third places went to Devlin DeFrancesco and Max Fewtrell.
It’s looking very tight at the top of the table as the teams head off to Scotland for the Knockhill rounds.
