I have written a few times recently about a trip to Donington Park to the Superstars World event. As well as Superstars World itself, I have written about the GT Sprint and Auto GP races which took place during the event. The Superstars World Support Events also included a series of smaller races, which were great fun, in addition to the larger and more famous events. Many race weekends are packed with various races, but I was particularly impressed at just how many races there were over the Superstars World weekend.
As is often the way at these events, the various Superstars World Support Events included the ability to see the racing up close, not just on the track but in the paddock, in the pit lane, and even preparing to head out onto the circuit before the practice, qualifying and races.
The spectators could walk through the paddock, and there was good access to the various teams and drivers. I found, as is normally the way at events like this, that the teams and drivers were a friendly bunch, and were happy to chat and to have photos taken.
As I have previously mentioned, it was a great event, with plenty to see throughout the series of races over the weekend. I will definitely look out for the Superstars World events in future, if the race card for the weekend is as well packed, diverse and exciting as this year.
