Porsches at Knockhill 2017

Porsche Carrera Cup Knockhill Event 2017

The annual trip to Scotland by the British Touring Car Championship teams and their support races included the Porsche Carrera Cup Knockhill Event 2017 as the teams made their way to the picturesque circuit. Qualifying saw Dan Cammish on pole for the first race ahead of Charlie Eastwood and Dino Zamparelli, and the end result of the race saw the same three drivers on the podium, with Commish retaining the top step, but with Zamparelli on the second step.

For the second Porsche race of the weekend, the top two drivers were reversed on the grid, with Eastwood this time taking pole from Cammish, and Tom Oliphant behind them in third. This time, Cammish managed to complete 29 of the 31 laps, leaving Eastwood to take the win from Zamparelli and Oliphant taking the third step of the podium.

With the top four drivers sharing the podium positions over the weekend, things are still tight at the top of the table, with Knockhill leaving Eastwood leading from Zamparelli, Cammish and Oliphant.

The Porsches do not follow the BTCC series to Rockingham, but reappear at Silverstone for their penultimate weekend of the year, as the year which seems to have flown by moves towards the end of the season. Meanwhile, here are some photos from their trip to Knockhill.
