Today saw the Junior Winter Test 2017 at Rockingham, with a series of junior racing series having the opportunity to try out their cars before the new seasons start. The Fiesta Juniors had plenty of cars on track, as did the Ginetta Juniors. The new Clio Cup Junior series had drivers there for its inaugural season, and there were a number of cars from the JSCC series, meaning that the Northamptonshire circuit was in for a busy day.
There was even a fleeting glance of Formula Four action.
Some drivers had moved between series, for example, Bradley Burns who has performed so well in Fiesta Juniors has moved to the new Clio Cup Junior series, as has Harry Gooding, the current Fiesta Junior champion. Bradley was on track today in his new Clio.
The weather at Rockingham – like most of the country – was wet and windy, meaning that conditions were interesting for those on track, but that did not deter the drivers, who were making the most of their time on the circuit. It was great to see so many drivers out getting ready to compete, from familiar names to new faces in all of the series.
Here are a few photos from the day.
