The annual trip to Scotland by the British Touring Car Championship teams and their support races included the Ginetta Junior Knockhill Rounds 2017. Qualifying saw Daniel Harper set the fastest time ahead of Kiern Jewiss and Harry King.
The first race saw King take the win from Jewis with Harper in third place. The second race had a grid based on the second fastest qualifying times, with Jewiss on pole this time from Sebastian Priaulx, and it turned out to be a fantastic race full of overtaking, with the final result being unpredictable right through the last lap. In the end, it was Jewiss who took the win from Harper, and Tom Gamble took third place.
That leaves Priaulx continuing to lead the championship, but with teammate Gamble now only three points behind, and Jewiss in third after a good weekend at Knockhill. The series now follows the BTCC through to Rockingham in two weeks, then Silverstone before a return to Brands Hatch for the finale. Given how tight it is at the top of the table and how exciting is has been this year so far, there seems to be plenty of action still to come for Ginetta Juniors in 2017.
Meanwhile, here are some photos from Knockhill.
