The closing rounds of the British Touring Car Championship included the Ginetta GT4 Supercup Brands Hatch Finale 2017 at the Kent circuit, as the drivers and teams returned to where the season had kicked off six months before. Qualifying saw Ben Green take pole from Jack Mitchell, and in the first race, Green took full advantage of starting from the front of the grid and covered that to a win, with Declan Jones in second ahead of Mitchell.
In the second race of the weekend, it was the same drivers who took the top three positions, but this time with Mitchell taking the win from Jones and Green. In the final race of the weekend, and the final race of the championship, it was George Gamble who took the win from Green and Mitchell.
Although he may not have had a podium over the weekend, it was Callum Pointon who took the championship, with Green in second and Gamble in third. Jac Constable took the amateur title, from Colin White, with just five points separating them at the top of the table.
The season will return in six months with no doubt plenty of new faces for what is always an exciting championship. Meanwhile, here are some photos from Brands Hatch.
