BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship 2016 at Silverstone

The BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship 2016 made its way to Silverstone this weekend as part of the BRSCC St Georges Day weekend, and as normal were racing at the same event as the senior Fiesta Championship. The first practice session saw the fastest time set by Callum Hawkins-Row ahead of Harry Gooding and Ronan Quinn, with Callum topping the second practice ahead of James Waite and Carlito Miracco.

In qualifying, it was Carlito who set the fastest time and took pole, ahead of Callum and James. The first race on Sunday morning saw Carlito translate his pole position into a win with a strong performance throughout the race. He was joined on the podium by Harry and Callum, with Lochlan Bearman setting the fastest lap.

The second race just after the lunch break was one of the most exciting races of the weekend. There was plenty of overtaking through the field, and positions changed lap after lap. When the chequered flag was eventually shown, it was Harry Gooding who took it, followed by James Waite and Ronan Quinn, who had been racing against Carlito Miracco for the place.

With no shortage of racing action in this series, it looks like the 2016 Fiesta Junior Championship will be every bit as exciting as the 2015 series.

Here are a few photos from the weekend.
