Easter saw the British F4 Donington weekend 2017 as part of the BTCC event. Qualifying on Saturday saw Linus Lundqvist take pole from Jamie Caroline, and the two battled from the start of the race for the lead. Caroline tried to go around the outside at the first corner, before taking the lead at the Old Hairpin. Caroline moved away from the rest of the pack and led to the chequered flag, but there was plenty of action elsewhere on the grid, with a notable mention for Hampus Ericcson, who made up nine places in his first ever British Formula Four race. Jamie Caroline was joined on the podium by Linus Lundqvist and Billy Monger.
The second race was later on Saturday, and it saw an incredible opening lap from Jamie Caroline who started in sixth place and was leading by the beginning of lap two. Patrik Pasma and Oliver York fought for second place, with York taking it. Harry Webb fought hard for fourth place.
The third race of the weekend was on Sunday, however, the first lap saw a horrendous crash featuring Billy Monger and Patrik Pasma. The race was immediately red flagged and not restarted as the two drivers were rescued and taken to hospital. The thoughts of all Formula Four fans must now be with Billy and Patrik.
