Ferraris at Autosport 2018

Autosport International Show 2018

Today saw the Autosport International Show 2018 kick off at Birmingham’s NEC Arena. As normal, the show combines various motor racing series, suppliers and media, with the initial two days being a trade event and Saturday and Sunday being the public days of the show. This year sees 1992 Formula One World Champion Nigel Mansell among those on stage.

There is also the Live Action Arena, with plenty of impressive driving to be seen in what is always an enjoyable show.

Walking around the show today, there were plenty of interesting vehicles to see, not just cars and bikes but even jetskis. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix even had a stand to promote their event, near the display of last year’s Formula One cars. There is also an impressive collection of Ferraris to be seen.

Many of the BTCC teams are present, and this week has seen various drivers being announced for the 2018 season. This year will see a number of BTCC rookies, and the Autosport International Show is always a good place to find out about some of the feeder series where drivers make their way through to some of the bigger events. It’s always good to see the karting teams and series like the always popular BRSCC Fiesta Juniors at the show.

As I was walking around the show today, I snapped a few quick pictures, so to give you a bit of a taste of what is going on at the event this year, here are a few of them. If you are among the thousands of motorsport fans who manage to make their way to the NEC to see the show, then I hope you have a great time! I’m sure that both Sautrday and Sunday will be packed as always and Birmingham will be filled with motorsport fans for the weekend.
