National Memorial Arboretum Drive It Day

It’s St George’s Day, and among the events being held today is the National Memorial Arboretum Drive It Day, seeing various vehicles on display at the Arboretum. Among the many memorials today, which are informative, impressive, thought provoking and often poignant, are a series of cars, lorries, tractors and other motorised vehicles, ranging from the historic through those that bring back memories of my childhood to the more recent.

There are hundreds of vehicles, too many to go through each of them, but among the highlights is this car that was used by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on official visits.

There are, appropriately, some military vehicles, at least one of which reminded me of my childhood in Northern Ireland.
