The Ginetta Junior Rockingham event 2016 formed part of the BTCC weekend over the bank holiday at the circuit. The first race of the weekend saw Will Tregurtha continue his impressive form of the season with a pole position start with Lewis Brown in second. Harry King started third, with Stuart Middleton in fourth. Stuart quickly moved by the cars in front of him and was leading the race, a position he held for the rest of the race before taking the chequered flag from Will and Lewis.
The inclement conditions of Saturday afternoon saw the second race move to Sunday morning with the race starting ahead of the scheduled session. Will was chasing Stuart from the outset, with Seb Perez taking third place right at the start. Will eventually passed Stuart, and the podium saw Will on the top step with step, with Stuart and Seb in second and third.
In the third race, Harry King continued his recent impressive form, and repeated his success from Snetterton with another race win. Tom Wood joined him on the podium with Seb Perez again in third place.
That leaves Will Tregurtha continuing to lead the championship from Stuart Middleton and Lewis Brown.
