This weekend saw the Britcar Donington Rounds 2017 as part of the BARC event at the Leicestershire circuit. Britcar is an endurance racing series run across five classes that see some fantastic cars competing, with this weekend featuring a 50 minute race and a two hour event, both on Saturday. The cars on the grid include Ferraris, Porsches, an Aston Martin, a KTM, and a series of Ginettas, with class five seeing racing versions of cars that might look more familiar to most including a Ford Focus, and a couple of Volkswagen Golfs.
Saturday saw a fantastically sunny day for the event, which helped bring some more spectators to watch.
The event also has plenty of great support series, including the Junior Saloon Car Championship, the Tin Tops Championship, and the Fiscar Intermarque, which includes some fantastic cars. Saturday also included a visit from Darth Vader and a couple of Stormtroopers, which no doubt made some sense…
As normal, I took a few photos of the action. Most of these are from Britcar, but do scroll down to see some of the Tin Tops and the Fiscar entries on track, there were some beautiful cars to be seen both on the track and in the pits and around the paddock which was, as normal, accessible to visitors.
